China: Ping An Insurance partners with Zhongshan Hospital

Ping An Insurance is to work with Zhongshan Hospital to improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare services in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region.

In a statement, they said that the two parties will collaborate on healthcare service enhancements, medical research innovation and talent incubation across the healthcare, finance and technology fields to help deliver on the national Healthy China initiative.

Affiliated with Fudan University, Zhongshan Hospital, founded in 1937, is a Grade-3A general hospital. It is a public institution affiliated with the National Health Commission and a comprehensive teaching hospital. The hospital has scientific research and teaching capabilities and has nurtured three academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, two academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and more than 700 senior medical professionals.

“Zhongshan Hospital is known as one of the leading public hospitals in China. Ping An places great importance on this collaboration. The framework of this strategic agreement covers service, scientific research, teaching and branding,” said Jessica Tan, co-chief executive of Ping An Group.
