UK: Singapore’s Temasek joins investors in Oxford Nanopore fund raising

Oxford Nanopore Technologies has raised £195m (US$273m) in new capital in a private transaction.

Some £125 million of the investment comes from new investors Temasek, Wellington Management, M&G Investments and Nikon. In addition, existing shareholders invested £70 million.

Oxford Nanopore was founded in 2005 to develop a disruptive, electronic, single-molecule sensing system based on nanopore science.

The private company has raised £808m in a series of funding rounds dating back to 2005 with two rounds from IP Group
