After seven years as chief executive Sue Channon is to step down as chief executive of Virtus Health, Australia’s largest fertility clinic network.
A statement from the company said that a search process for her replacement has stared and it is expected she will remain in her role until the end of February.
Channon joined the business in 2004 as chief executive of IVF Australia and, since then, has overseen the growth of Virtus Health through private ownership and domestic expansion, through the IPO process followed by international expansion.
“I have really enjoyed my time at Virtus and I am proud of the organisation we have created,” said Channon.
She has said that she intends to seek other opportunities domestically and internationally.
