Indonesian hospital operator Mitra Keluarga has acquired a stake in Mutiara Hati Hospital, West Java, for Rp24.95 billion (US$1.8 million).
It has taken a 94.99% share of the hospital. The remaining share will remain with the staff of the hospital.
The hospital has a total capacity of 48 operational beds and facilities along with an operating theatre, pharmacy, laboratory and radiology unit. Mutiara Hati Hospital is expected to accept BPJS Kesehatan, the country’s universal healthcare programme, in the future.
Mitra Keluarga raised Rp4.5 trillion at Rp1,700 per share in its IDX IPO in March 2015 via senior underwriters Morgan Stanley and UBS with Kresna Graha Sekurindo as local underwriter. Its shares have declined steadily since hitting a high of Rp2,950 in February 2016 and this week have traded around Rp1,535.
