New Mowasat Hospital has achieved Diamond, the highest level of accreditation through the Qmentum International programme of Accreditation Canada International (ACI)
The Qmentum International accreditation programme is based on the Canadian health care quality model, ranking various aspects of facilities as Gold, Platinum and Diamond.
An organization’s level is decided based on its performance at the time of the accreditation on-site survey. New Mowasat Hospital is the only hospital in Kuwait to attain Diamond level.
The 100 bed hospital in Salmiya is the only one in Kuwait to achieve dual accreditation with Joint Commission International (JCI) and Accreditation Canada International. The JCI accreditation was renewed in 2014.
The survey team from ACI spent five days at the hospital observing activities, interviewing patients and staff, and reviewing documents.
