Bupa report fights against cuts

Local authority fees for independently provided elderly care beds no longer even covers the costs of meeting basic standards of care as set out by the sector watchdog. This is the message of a report published by Bupa this month which calls on central government to require councils to raise their fees by between 5% and 8% each year for at least three years.
