Care UK’s turnover and profits up thanks to public sector contracts

A strong reliance on public sector funding has led to a 2.4% increase in health and social care provider Care UK’s revenues. For the year ending 30 September 2011, the company recorded a turnover of £445.7m, up from £435.3m in 2010. Operating profit for the UK’s fifth largest residential care home provider stood at £11.7m, an increase of 9.3% on the previous year’s £10.7m .
