DCM going steady

Optical and dental care group DCM (Optical Holdings) has recorded steady results for the year ended January 1 2011. The group saw turnover increase year-on-year to £204.7m from £201.1m with EBITDA before exceptional costs also increasing from £20.8m to £22.2m. There was a large decrease in administrative expenses, from £191.7m to £163.1m, leading to an operating profit of £8.6m (2009: loss of £21.7m). Profit for the year (after tax) stood at £3.8m, a stark contrast to the previous years’ loss of £19.3m.
