Loss for Gotodoc

Gotodoc, which provides out of hours medical services, reported an operating loss of £64,000 (2011: £542,000 loss) for the year ending 31 March 2012 following restructuring and slow growing patient list sizes. Turnover increased to £16.2m (2011: £15.3m) while the costs of sales (£9.6m) and administrative expenses (£6.6m) led to the £64,000 operating loss. The directors said that the main reason for the loss related to restructuring and renegotiation of current contracts in the subsidiary along with patient list sizes growing at a slower rate than expected, which meant providing for a contractual clawback to the customers at the end of the year.’
