OFT claims progress has been made

An evaluation of the impact of its 2005 market study into the elderly care homes market published last month saw the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) identifying that, six years after it published its recommendations, the number of people funding their own care has increased leaving them more dependent upon third party assistance. As such it has concluded that clear and timely’ information is more important than ever.
