Revenues up at Cornwall Care

Care home operator Cornwall Care Limited reported a 10.8% increase in turnover for the year ended 31 December 2012. In total, the charity had incoming resources of £25.2m (2011: £22.7m), with £21.3m (2011: £19.8m) coming from fees for residential and nursing care. It also generated £3m (2011: £2.3m) from its domiciliary and community care businesses. Due to a £2m increase in staffing costs, Cornwall Care posted net incoming resources before tax of £267,000 (2011: £270,000). This could be due to the charity’s objective to shape its services to provide higher levels of care’ which saw nine of its 18 facilities registered as care homes with nursing at the end of the report period.
