Ring-fencing petition launched

Leading disabilities campaigner Rosa Monkton, launched a petition last month calling on the government to ring-fence the money intended for social care and review the way funds are spent to ensure cradle-to-grave care. The move comes after Saga director general, Dr Ros Altmann called for care funding to be ring-fenced (CCMn March 2012) and care Minister Paul Burstow called on councils to spend government grants on what they were allocated for (CCMn February 2012).
