St Andrew’s announces chief executive

St Andrews announced today that Gil Baldwin is to take over as chief executive of the mental health charity in July following the departure of Professor Philip Sugarman earlier this year. Mr Baldwin is currently advising the UK Government in relation to its G8 commitments on dementia. His background includes military service working all over the world including the Balkans and Iraq where he helped to re-establish civil societies and the underpinning infrastructure. He then joined Aviva, where he became managing director of Aviva Health. Following this he became chief executive of Tunstall which provides services which enable people with healthcare needs to remain living independently in their own homes.
