Elizabeth Finn Care has reported incoming resources of £24.5m for the year ended 31 March 2012, an increase of 8.1% on the previous year’s £22.7m. The charity reported that the costs of self-funding residential and nursing care remained unusually high at £20m due to the inclusion of the spend on the Halliwell and Hampden House refurbishment projects. Including the schemes, which had occupancy levels of 72% and 81% respectively, the number of self-funding residents increased by one percentage point to 95%. Occupancy levels at the charity’s other seven care homes stood at 93%. Elizabeth Finn carried forward funds of £54.3m (2011: £45m) at the year end.
