Parklands acquires Moray care homes

CGI of proposed development

Parklands Care Homes has formally acquired two Moray care homes – Weston View in Keith and Wakefield House in Cullen – six months after their former owner Craigard Care Ltd went into administration.

The move ensures continuity of care for almost 70 residents and safeguards around 80 jobs across the two homes.

‘Our formal acquisition of Weston View and Wakefield House ends a period of uncertainty for both homes – for the residents, their loved ones and the employees,’ said Ron Taylor, managing director of Parklands Care Homes.

‘Since March we have been working with the administrators to secure the long-term future of these homes and I am delighted that they have now been incorporated into the Parklands group.’

Last month, Parklands announced a £1m improvement plan for the two homes.

Parklands operates 11 care homes in Tain, Muir of Ord, Fortrose, Grantown, Aberlour, Buckie, Keith and Cullen. The company, which this year marks its 30th anniversary, employs over 760 people and provides care for almost 400 residents.
