Deven Pamben

EDITOR, CARE MARKETS

Deven Pamben has more than 20 years’ experience as a journalist, working on newspapers, trade magazines and online publications. A Criminology graduate, Deven worked for Hertfordshire Constabulary before becoming a journalist. He began his journalism career at a local newspaper in Hertfordshire before moving into trade magazines in permanent roles or as a freelancer. Titles he has reported and edited on include Law Society Gazette, Harpers Wine and Spirit, and Health Club Management. Deven has also written travel features for the Sunday People, and spent two years working in Beijing for the official press agency of the People’s Republic of China.

Maria Davies

EDITOR, HEALTHCARE MARKETS

Maria has more than two decades' experience as a business and financial journalist. She has specialised in writing about the UK’s private and voluntary healthcare sector for the last 15 years. Maria covered the historic ‘Condordat’ signed by the NHS and independent healthcare providers, which paved the way for the Labour government’s radical market-based reform of the NHS at the turn of the Millennium. Since then, she has tracked the key trends in independent healthcare from the advent of patient choice and the emerging NHS market to multi-million pound flotations and game-changing deals.

Nick Herbert

EDITOR, HEALTHCARE MARKETS INTERNATIONAL

Nick Herbert has over 30 years’ experience in the financial markets, as both a practitioner and journalist. He started work as an investment banker in London, before joining International Financing Review (IFR) to report on debt capital markets and derivatives. He moved to Singapore in 2000 to manage IFR’s financial markets editorial team throughout Asia, before returning to London in 2009 to take up the position of Publisher for Reuters Capital Markets Publications. Since 2015 he has been covering global capital markets, ESG finance and healthcare markets on a freelance basis.

Jenny Jenkins

MANAGING EDITOR, LAINGBUISSON

Jenny Jenkins has over 15 years’ in editing and marketing communications across a variety of professional services sectors, including healthcare. She started work marketing a start-up IT consultancy, then moved to international law firm Allen & Overy, to write articles and promotional material for their global Banking practice. Before joining LaingBuisson, she worked for the UK’s National Pharmacy Association, as editor of their award-winning member magazine, inPharmacy. For the last three years, as Managing Editor of IMTJ, she has worked with external experts and contributors to publish articles and regular news and analysis of medical travel activity worldwide.

Lee Cavendish

DIGITAL CONTENT EXECUTIVE, LAINGBUISSON

Lee Cavendish has over 4 years’ experience in journalism. He began his writing career as a Staff Writer for UK-based astronomy magazine All About Space after obtaining a BSc degree in Observational Astronomy. He has also contributed to other titles including How It Works magazine, Digital Photographer magazine, Space.com and LiveScience. After which, he joined LaingBuisson as Digital Content Executive, where he researches and reports on the latest news in the private health and social care sectors, as well as working on various multi-media content creation and digital marketing channels.
