Cera strengthens leadership team with executive recruits

Cera has bolstered its senior leadership team with a series of executive hires, as it looks to empower more patients to live at home.

Adrian Blair has been recruited to the role of chief business officer, Marcus Jennings as chief financial officer, and Patricia De Loro as chief product officer.

Blair was chief executive of Dext, a finance-technology company sold to Hg Capital, and previously was global chief operating officer at Just Eat.

Jennings was formerly chief financial officer of LoveCrafts, a direct-to-consumer eCommerce business, and previously held the role of group finance director at Just Eat.

De Loro was formerly head of marketplace EU at Amazon, director of digital at Vodafone and head of product at eBay.

The provider has also recruited Luigi De Curtis as vice president of growth and Charlotte Donald as director of operations.

De Curtis will drive Cera’s plans to support more patients globally. His experience in building and scaling the Deliveroo business in the past six years will help Cera’s growth strategy. Donald has experience of working in the homecare sector, most recently in a regional director role at City & County Healthcare.

‘By investing in top talent, Cera can empower patients globally to live longer, better lives at home through a digital-first approach to home healthcare, while also helping to combat the ongoing challenges around recruiting more carers to the sector,’ said Dr Ben Maruthappu, chief executive and co-founder of Cera.

Cera has raised $400m (£328m) in investment to date. In August, it raised £260m in a funding round led by existing investor Kairos HQ – a US-based venture capital firm.
