Christa Echtle becomes chair of Eden Futures

Supported living provider Eden Futures has appointed Christa Echtle as its new chair.

Echtle, who has replaced Stephen Collier, has over 30 years’ experience of working in healthcare settings, ranging from social care, specialist recruitment, medical outsourcing and MedTech. She has worked for public, private and private equity owned companies.

Dawn Berry, Eden Futures chief executive, said: ‘With her background and experience Christa will be a valuable contributor to our continued success; we’re excited to have her join the team.’

Established in 1994, the operator supports adults who are autistic, have learning disabilities, enduring mental ill health and high support needs across northern England and the Midlands.

Sovereign Capital invested in Eden in 2010 to help the company meet the growing demand for its services and is set to continue for the next few years.

Berry said: ‘Sovereign’s reinvestment in Eden Futures reflects their long-term confidence in us as one of the best supported living companies in the UK and is a testament to our positive working relationship.

‘With Christa, the executive team and I will be working closely with Sovereign to develop new services and to continue supporting people in our existing services.’
