‘One of my top priorities moving forwards is to engage the team and help them further develop their skills to ensure we’re providing the gold standard of support our family members and their relatives need and have come to expect,’ he said.

McGee, who has more than nine years’ experience working in the sector, becomes head of care. He will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing the delivery of care across each of Church Farm’s four homes.

‘Prior to starting my new role I’d worked alongside Church Farm Care already, during my time within the nursing homes and home care quality team, so I knew that the team prioritised high quality care and sought continuous improvement,’ he said. ‘That’s why I was drawn to this role, as it has presented me with a fantastic opportunity to help nurture and build on this existing ethos.

In addition to the two senior appointments, Church Farm has recruited administration assistant Natalie Dove, who has joined Hickling Lodge in Cotgrave, Nottingham.

Patrick Atkinson, director of Church Farm Care, said: ‘At a time when the sector as a whole is struggling to fill vacancies, it’s a real credit to the company and our ethos that we’ve been able to secure all of these fantastic new recruits.

‘It’s an exciting time for Church Farm as we’re looking to expand some of our homes to provide more bed space for new admissions and more experiences for our existing family members. I look forward to seeing what our new team members can bring to their roles as we embark on this next chapter.’
