Colin Angel has left the Homecare Association after 17 years at the organisation.

The policy, practice and innovation director joined the association in 2004, following a career as a registered nurse and an operational manager at two national health and social care providers.

‘During Colin’s time with the Homecare Association he has demonstrated a deep knowledge and understanding of the homecare sector, relevant principles of employment law, statutory regulation, and social care policy, which he used to positive effect to represent and support the association’s members with central government, local government, sector stakeholders and the media,’ said Dr Jane Townson, Homecare Association chief executive.

‘Colleagues and external stakeholders valued Colin’s technical knowledge, attention to detail, high standards, good judgement, decisiveness, and sense of humour.’

Angel added: ‘The Homecare Association has a clear vision for its work, with strong and effective leadership for the challenges the homecare sector will face in the future. I am confident that the association and its member organisations will continue to ensure that homecare is valued, so that all of us can live well at home and flourish within our communities.’
