Justin Skiver has been named senior vice president (SVP) – global head of seniors housing at Welltower.
Skiver has been with the company since 2009 and most recently served as SVP – international, having relocated to lead the London office in 2018.
He has also served as SVP – underwriting where he was responsible for management of the investment team, underwriting process, and client relationships. Before becoming SVP, he served as vice president – corporate investments.
‘Justin has been with Welltower for 10 years and has emerged as a true leader within our organisation as well as the seniors housing industry,’ said Thomas J. DeRosa, chairman and chief executive of Welltower.
Welltower’s key operators in the UK include Avery, Encore, Signature and Sunrise.
In May, Skiver spoke at LaingBuisson’s Real Estate Conference where he said a potential route for expansion was housing with care and the rental model.
