Loveday & Co appoints Petra Ionescu as director of operations

Petra Ionescu

Later living and clinical care provider Loveday & Co has appointed Petra Ionescu as its director of operations.

Ionescu has senior leadership experience across operations, compliance and clinical care governance, having held leadership roles at UK providers, including Barchester Healthcare, Care UK, and most recently Maria Mallaband Care Group.

At Loveday, she will help lead its care quality, maintaining and strengthening clinical practice across its homes.

‘Petra is an outstanding leader with a rare combination of operational and clinical expertise and strategic oversight. Her appointment reflects Loveday’s unwavering commitment to investing in the very best people to support the delivery of exceptional care and member experience. As we continue to evolve as a business, strengthening leadership capability at this level is fundamental to maintaining the standards our members, families and stakeholders expect,’ said Siân Hammer, managing director at Loveday.

Ionescu added: ‘Loveday has a clear vision around quality, experience and excellence in care, and that strongly aligns with my own values and professional background, especially having previously worked as a nurse practitioner. I am excited to be joining the business at this point in its journey and look forward to working with teams across the organisation to support consistently high standards of care, strong clinical governance and a culture of continuous growth.’

As reported last month, Hallmark Luxury Care Homes took over the business operations Loveday’s Esher property.
