Meallmore creates commissioning and business development role

Carol-Anne Foote joined Meallmore in 2005

Scottish care provider Meallmore Ltd has promoted Carol-Anne Foote to a newly created role of commissioning and business development manager.

The position will see Foote working with the operations team to develop the company’s portfolio of facilities providing care and support.

Foote started her career as a registered mental health nurse and has over 20 years’ experience in the private care sector. She joined Meallmore in 2005 as care home manager for Forthland Lodge in Edinburgh, before becoming area lead for the central east region of Scotland in 2008. During this time, she gained an SVQ in Management and has completed a Master’s degree in MBS in Innovation and Leadership at Letterkenny Institute of Technology in Donegal, Ireland.

Her first task is to oversee Meallmore’s latest care home, Greenan Manor in Ayr. The purpose-built home is due to open in winter.

Foote said: ‘I feel lucky to have developed my career with such a caring and supportive company, and I look forward to supporting the operations team in their efforts to further develop the quality of the care that they offer in this exciting new role.’

Mary Preston, operations director at Meallmore, added: ‘Carol-Anne is a perfect fit for this position and is sure to strengthen our commitment to providing high levels of quality care in each of our care homes.’

Since opening its first care home, Meallmore Lodge in Inverness in 1987, the provider has grown to a network of 23 care homes across Scotland.
