Voluntary Organisations Disability Group (VODG) has appointed five new trustees to its board.

Chris Hampson, chief executive at Look Ahead, John Heritage, CEO at David Lewis, Jo Land, CEO at Avenues, Anna McEwen, CEO at Headway East London, and Irene Sobowale, CEO at Brainkind (previously Disabilities Trust), have all joined.

‘It is an exciting time to join VODG as we enter a new chapter of change and growth. We are delighted to welcome the new board members who all bring hugely significant breadth and depth of knowledge across their respective areas of expertise. Their contributions will support VODG’s mission to support our members to deliver the very best services and support for disabled people,’ said Tim Cooper, board chair.

Hampson, Land and Sobowale have been co-opted to the board with appointments to be confirmed at an AGM. To support succession planning Heritage and McEwan will be formally co-opted as new vacancies arise.
