Loveday & Co has launched an app for recording, storing and sharing memories and information, developed in partnership with LegacyHub.
Loveday Legacy will be available to its members, offering them and their loved ones the opportunity to build a digital record of photos, videos and personal messages. It will also provide a space to securely store administrative information including pension policies, banking details and legal documents, so both they and their families can easily access them if needed.
Laurence Geller, founder and chair of Loveday and a LegacyHub board member, consulted on the development of the app and will continue to advise on its development.
‘Living well in later life isn’t just about having access to exceptional care, it’s also about being able to remain connected to your loved ones and to yourself as a person,’ he said. ‘I’m extremely proud to have supported with the development of Loveday Legacy, and excited that our members will have the opportunity to continue building and sharing memories that their families will be able to carry with them for the rest of their lives.’
Estimations suggest there are £89bn worth of lost and forgotten assets in the UK.
David Alexander, founder of LegacyHub, added: ‘I founded LegacyHub for a simple reason: we are good at accumulating important information, but bad at storing it where our loved ones can find it. LegacyHub and Loveday Legacy are spaces for families to share and access essential life administration, and to prevent it from falling on Britain’s pile of lost and forgotten assets. In Loveday Legacy we’ve created an app designed specifically to work within care settings, and I’m delighted to have collaborated with both Loveday and Laurence Geller on its development.’
