Person Centred Software (PCS) has introduced CarerOS, a connected platform to help close the gaps between care planning, medication and staffing.
PCS said information that matters often gets lost between disconnected systems and this fragmentation can create an operational burden for care teams.
With more than 80% of adult social care providers using digital records, according to government data, many settings are running on several digital systems for care planning, medication, staffing, HR, finances and more.
PCS said the challenge becomes greater for regional and quality managers overseeing multiple locations, where the absence of a single view across homes can make it more difficult to identify emerging issues early and intervene before they become more significant.
‘I’ve spent nights on shift in care homes, and I’ve seen what it actually looks like when a manager can’t see the whole picture – this is not carelessness, just systems that were never built to talk to each other well. This is what care providers have been asking the industry for: technology that finally works as one. CarerOS is about bringing the different parts of care together so that care teams can understand what’s important and why it’s important in order to ensure that actions are taken early,’ said Kehan Zhou, group chief executive of PCS.
PCS is a provider of care management and intelligence software, used by over 8,900 care homes.
