Skills for Care launches statutory and mandatory training bundle

A statutory and mandatory training bundle has been launched, bringing together learning in one package for adult social care.

The eLearning bundle has been developed by Skills for Care, the organisation behind the statutory and mandatory training guidance used across the sector. Aligned to part one of that guidance, it provides employers with a way to deliver learning their workforce needs to work safely, confidently and effectively.

By bringing eight key training topics together in one place, the bundle makes it simpler for employers to manage induction and refresher learning, while giving staff practical, interactive training that reflects the realities of everyday care.

Created specifically for adult social care, the bundle provides sector-led learning to help staff build the knowledge. The training uses accessible, interactive content and practical examples from everyday care settings, helping learners understand how to apply their knowledge in their day-to-day role.

The bundle has six core eLearning modules and two additional ones that may be required depending on a worker’s role and responsibilities:

‘This new bundle gives providers confidence that all their statutory and mandatory training needs are covered, while offering engaging, practical learning that helps staff apply their knowledge in day-to-day practice. By bringing essential learning together in one place, it makes it easier for employers to support workforce development, high-quality care and better outcomes for people who draw on care and support,’ said Jenny Paton, director of strategy and commercial at Skills for Care.
