Barchester Healthcare breaks ground on 64-bed care home

Barchester Healthcare has broken ground on a 64-bed care home development in Liss, Hampshire.

The home, which is yet to be named, is being built by Kori Construction, and is owned and will be operated by Barchester. The setting will provide residential, dementia and respite care for older people in Liss and the surrounding areas once complete in mid-2028.

The home will have a café, spa bathrooms, en suite bedrooms with smart TVs, lounges, an activities room, a cinema, and an in-house hair and beauty salon. It will also provide a life enrichment programme that includes a choice of daily activities.

‘We are really excited to get this project under way. Our Liss home will be a fantastic addition to the local community,’ said Grant Jensen, senior property development manager at Barchester.

We are very much looking forward to bringing this project to life. This new home will be a brilliant addition to Liss and will serve the community well.’

The care home will have an onsite marketing suite in summer 2028.
