Connaught Care opens 70-bed setting in St Neots

Connaught Care's Henbrook House

Connaught Care has opened Henbrook House in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, with plans for a further five homes over the next 12 months.

Henbrook House, which cost £12m to develop, offers 70 furnished bedrooms. Onsite services include Eaton Bar & Bistro, Sky TV packages, a chiropodist, hair salon, and treatments at The Lotus Spa. It will provide long-term residential and short-term respite care.

Catherine Frost, general manager of Henbrook House, said: ‘When we began designing Henbrook House, our aim was to create a place which offers superb facilities and hospitality with the added bonus of care.’

The home, which was developed by Lawrence Baker Ltd, is working with the St Neots Initiative, a local business-led group aimed at developing the town.

‘Regular engagement with local groups is a crucial part of our offering,’ said Frost. ‘Not only will this help residents feel connected to life in St Neots, but it will also help build a stronger sense of community in the wider town as well. Through our work with the St Neots Initiative and others, we will engage in various campaigns aimed at developing the town into a better place to live for everyone.’

Opening of Henbrook House

This is Connaught Care’s third operational home, and it plans to open five more during this financial year in Swindon, Chichester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Crawley, and Bishop’s Stortford.

Mayor Rob Simonis and deputy mayor Richard Slade, were among guests to attend the opening.
