Hallmark opens £21.6m care home in East Sussex

Hallmark Luxury Care Homes has opened a £21.6m care home in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

The 85-bed, residential, dementia and nursing care setting features a cinema, café, hair salon and cocktail bar.

Other features at Hallmark Willingdon Park Manor include a sensory room to support residents living with dementia, an activities room with a baby grand piano, and a winter and summer terrace, which will be used for gardening, bird watching and socialising. Outside there is a summer house, gardening club area with raised planters, and a courtyard.

The development also includes nine suites, which form part of a retirement living offering called The Residences. These residents have access to a premium suite with a kitchenette, and amenities, such as a celebrations area and terrace, fine dining and concierge services.

More than 150 guests, including the local mayor, were invited to the opening of the home.
