New Care has opened its ninth property and its first in the metropolitan borough of Salford in the North West.
On the site of a former pub and hotel in Worsley, the £15m facility features 71 bedrooms, each with an en-suite wet room, plus communal lounges, dining and reading rooms. It also has a nail bar, hairdresser, gardens and outdoor terraces.
Designed by C Squared Architects and built by McGoff Construction, Bridgewater Manor will provide residential, nursing, dementia and respite care services.
The care home will create approximately 100 jobs in multiple disciplines, from carers and nurses to hospitality, housekeeping, activities, maintenance and chefs.
Part of the McGoff Group, New Care will be opening care facilities in Adel, Wilmslow and Lymm next year. It will also open settings in Grappenhall, Guiseley and Egerton in 2023.
