Signature Senior Lifestyle officially opens Surbiton home

Signature Senior Lifestyle has officially opened its care home in Surbiton, southwest London.

Signature at Surbiton, which is a former NHS site, can accommodate up to 86 residents and provides residential, nursing and dementia care. Dementia care at the home follows Signature’s ‘My Life, My Way’ approach, which puts each resident’s life story, preferences and identity central to their care.

The home also offers respite and rehabilitation care, giving family carers a break and supporting people as they recover after a hospital stay, including through physio-led rehabilitation in the home’s wellness studio, designed to support strength, confidence and independence. The studio is part of Signature’s wellness approach, built around rest and renewal, an active lifestyle, and meaningful living.

An open event was attended by actress Paula Wilcox, best known for Man About the House and Coronation Street. Guests also included the mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Cllr Thay Thayalan, and the deputy mayor, Cllr Jane Lim.

Surbiton is one of three Signature homes to open in 2026, alongside Hornchurch and Enfield, taking the group to 13 care homes across London and the home counties.
