Revenues for homecare franchise Bluebird Care rose to £6.6m for the year ended 31 December. This compares to turnover of £4.2m for the previous 9 months. After cost of sales of £295,000 (2013: £298,000) and administrative expenses of £2m (2014: £1.1m) were deducted, Bluebird made an operating profit of £4.3m (2013: £2.8m). Adding on interest receivable and similar income of £2,000 (2013: £18,000), the business made a pre-tax profit of £4.3m (2013: £2.8m).
