Former CQC manager appointed to St Andrew’s

St Andrew’s Healthcare has appointed Margaret Henderson (pictured) as deputy director of quality & governance.

She was most recently an inspection manager at the Care Quality Commission (CQC), having worked before with St Andrew’s on driving improvements.

Dean Howells, executive director of nursing and operations at the charity, said: ‘We are absolutely committed to improving the consistency of care and quality across all of our Integrated Practice Units (IPUs). By doing so, we will directly improve meaningful outcomes for our patients.

‘The charity has had challenges in the past in regards to the CQC inspections but in recent months we have worked really hard to turn those around.

‘With [Henderson’s] extensive clinical knowledge and her experience in delivering a quality agenda, I’m confident that her support will help our IPUs improve their overall quality ratings even further,’ he said.
