The UK Addiction Treatment Group (UKAT) has completed a deal to buy Linwood House Treatment Centre from the Care Plus Group in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Financial terms have not been disclosed.
Following this acquisition, UKAT now operates eight treatment centres across England, with Linwood House being its first facility in South Yorkshire.
UKAT operates centres in Essex, West Sussex, Surrey, Bedfordshire, Bradford, Runcorn, Oxfordshire and now South Yorkshire.
The Grade Two listed building will undergo extensive refurbishment before opening and will treat all types of addiction and mental health disorders as well as behavioural and eating disorders.
