Hakin to head up Magentus advisory board

Global health technology company Magentus has launched a UK advisory board chaired by Dame Barbara Hakin as it seeks to strengthen its clinical diagnostics strategy and expand its UK presence.

The board will provide strategic guidance on areas including earlier diagnosis, digital innovation and the development of future diagnostic pathways as the company implements its five-year UK growth strategy, including work across NHS and independent healthcare markets.

Hakin (pictured) previously served as chief operating officer and deputy CEO of NHS England. She will be joined on the board by former CEO of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Ian Abbs; Erika Denton, professor of radiology at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and former national medical director for transformation at NHS England; and independent healthcare adviser Simon Scrivens.
