Perci Health appoints new medical director

Virtual cancer clinic Perci Health has appointed Dr Matt Brown, consultant in pain medicine at The Royal Marsden, as medical director.

Brown, a nationally recognised expert in complex cancer pain and survivorship, has more than 20 years’ experience across the NHS and private sectors. He was previously deputy medical director at Medefer and continues his clinical role at The Royal Marsden.

Perci said his appointment marks a pivotal step its plans to expand outcomes-based partnerships with health and protection insurers. Under Brown’s leadership, the company will launch of new specialist clinics aimed at working-age populations and employer-funded healthcare, addressing cancer side effects such as peripheral neuropathy, cancer-induced menopause and lymphoedema.

Brown (pictured) said: ‘Digital health innovation presents huge opportunities to improve care – reducing variation, widening access to excellence, and driving sustainability. I’m hugely excited to join Perci, an organisation that shares my passion for scaling world-class cancer care.’

Perci Health co-founder and CEO Kelly McCabe added: ‘By combining the insight of clinicians, patients, and caregivers with purposeful technology, we are scaling access to vital support across the UK. Dr Brown’s leadership strengthens our ability to deliver safe, effective care at scale and furthers our ambition to transform survivorship. Together with partners such as Macmillan Cancer Support, we are creating a new standard of cancer care.’
