Bupa and Nuffield agree new three-year contract

Bupa UK Insurance has agreed a new three-year contract with Nuffield Health.

The agreement focuses on enhancing customer experience and includes new digital booking options aimed at improving convenience. Customers will be able to book initial consultations with Nuffield Health consultants directly through the Bupa Finder website.

Bupa will also widen its musculoskeletal pathway into Nuffield Health hospitals. The pathway offers an initial triage appointment within one working day of first contact and diagnostics within three working days.

Both organisations have stated targets to reach net zero by 2040 and the new agreement also supports continued collaboration on sustainable healthcare practices.

Nuffield Health chief commercial officer Chris Gowland said: ‘Extending our partnership with Bupa is a real vote of confidence in what we can deliver together for patients. At Nuffield Health, we’re committed to providing innovative, high-quality care and giving people fast access to the treatment they need. With new tools like direct diary booking and state-of-the-art diagnostics, we’re making it easier than ever for people to get excellent care across our network. This agreement with Bupa reflects our shared ambition to keep raising the bar for healthcare across the UK.’

Richard Washington, medical and healthcare director at Bupa UK Insurance, added:
‘Bupa customers trust us to provide quick, straightforward access to high quality care. This long-standing partnership with Nuffield health helps us deliver on that promise – offering improved access, supported by digital innovations and next generation diagnostics. It’s another step forward in our shared ambition to improve the nation’s health.’
