GenesisCare has installed new diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy equipment at its specialist cancer centre in Milton Keynes as part of its ongoing investment in its UK portfolio.
The upgrade includes a Siemens Somatom X.cite CT scanner and an Elekta Evo linear accelerator equipped with image-guided radiotherapy capabilities.
GenesisCare said the new CT scanner offers faster scan times and enhanced image quality, while the radiotherapy system incorporates a HexaPOD six degrees-of-freedom couch designed to provide sub-millimetre patient positioning accuracy for a range of treatments, including stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR).
The announcement follows a recent upgrade programme at the provider’s Bristol centre, where a new generation CT scanner and radiotherapy equipment were also installed.

GenesisCare is expanding its UK network, with a new systemic anti-cancer therapy centre due to open in Royal Tunbridge Wells in autumn 2026 and another in Guildford later this year. It has also announced plans for a new cancer centre in Leeds, which will provide haematology, radiotherapy and systemic anti-cancer therapy services and is scheduled to open in December 2026.
