Eric Reichle, chief executive officer at The Wellington Hospital

The Wellington Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK, will be holding the inaugural conference ‘Innovations and Debates in Colorectal Cancer: Now and the Future’ symposium on Thursday 19 September.

Hosted by Colin Elton, consultant colorectal surgeon at the hospital, the conference will bring together national and international experts, such as Tom Cecil and Brendan Moran from Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, and Professor Pfeffer from Haukeland University Hospital in Norway, for insightful discussions on topics such as the optimum management of patients with metastatic disease.

More than 20 lectures will be delivered during the conference, covering other topics including robotic colorectal surgery, surgery for recurrent colorectal cancer and complete mesocolic excision.

Eric Reichle, chief executive officer at The Wellington Hospital, said: ‘I am delighted to announce the news of our inaugural Innovations and Debates in Colorectal Cancer: Now and the Future symposium.

‘We have a tremendous interactive programme. Audience participation is encouraged, and I am confident the knowledge gained from this symposium will be incredibly beneficial for clinicians particularly in managing complex cases within their MDTs.’

The conference will be held at the Royal Society Of Medicine London.
