Medico launches in Australia

Healthcare marketing agency Medico Digital has expanded into Australia, establishing a base in Melbourne as part of its plans to grow across the Asia-Pacific region.

The move follows ten years of organic growth in the EMEA market, during which the agency has built a client base including Bayer, Holland & Barrett, GAMA Healthcare, Circle Health Group and the NHS. The company, which remains founder-led and has not taken external investment, provides services such as website development, patient acquisition campaigns, AI-enabled search, content strategy and performance marketing.

The Australian business will be led by Nathan Hill, previously country director of Doctify Australia, who has been appointed managing director of Medico Australia. He will work closely with Medico founder and chief executive Ollie Capel to establish the agency’s model in the region.

Capel said: ‘Australia is a natural next step – it’s digitally mature, healthcare is evolving rapidly, and Nathan brings invaluable local insight and energy.’

Medico said the launch comes as public and private providers face rising demand for modern digital engagement, including self-service tools, personalised content and accessible online patient journeys. With operations now spanning EMEA and APAC, the company said it is also developing a cross-time-zone support model for clients.

‘Patients are entitled to accurate, reliable healthcare information,’ said Hill. ‘For many of us, the first step in our healthcare journey is searching online for symptoms and possible treatments. At Medico, we’re committed to making that experience better by ensuring patients have access to the right information at the right time. I’m excited to bring that mission to Australia and support healthcare providers connecting with their patients online.’
