Ramsay Health Care UK has achieved Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation for endoscopy services at all 25 of its hospitals providing the procedure.
The Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy, hosted by the Royal College of Physicians, sets national standards for endoscopy competence, service quality and training across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Accreditation confirms that services meet established safety, quality and performance criteria.
Ramsay UK said the milestone reflects its focus on delivering consistent clinical standards and patient outcomes across its endoscopy units.
The company’s national endoscopy clinical lead and medical devices safety officer Beverley Raven said: ‘As the national clinical lead for endoscopy I feel very proud and honoured to be part of this fantastic achievement. It has been a privilege to lead and coach endoscopy teams with differing levels of experience to become accredited and for all Ramsay UK hospitals to display the JAG accreditation mark which signifies compliance, efficiency and patient safety.’
JAG programme manager Madeline Bano said: ‘Achieving JAG accreditation is a hallmark of high-quality, patient-centred endoscopy services. We congratulate Ramsay on meeting these rigorous requirements and on the assurance this gives to patients and staff across their endoscopy units.’
