VitalityHealth has enhanced its cancer cover for existing subscribers and introduced discounted cancer screening for some of the most common forms of the disease.
The health insurer has combined its standard and upgrade cancer cover options into a single comprehensive proposition that will now become standard for all new and existing plans. It will cover both inpatient and outpatient costs in full, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery and follow-up consultations.
In addition, VitalityHealth has introduced discounts on targeted cancer screenings for breast, cervical and bowel cancer.
VitalityHealth deputy CEO Dr Keith Klintworth said: ‘These latest enhancements ensure that our care package is truly end-to-end. In addition to fully covering the cost of treatment, the additions also complement our existing cancer prevention and detection benefits – including Vitality Healthcheck and Vitality GP – plus our support throughout diagnosis and treatment in the shape of a dedicated and clinically trained Care Consultant.
