WPA has been named the Which? Recommended Provider for Private Medical Insurance (PMI) for the second year in a row, highlighting the company’s strong performance in customer satisfaction and claims handling.
Which? awards its Recommended Provider status to companies that receive high ratings from customers who have made a medical insurance claim within the past two years.
In the consumer champion’s latest review, WPA led the industry with an 82% claims score, surpassing the industry average of 72%. The company also achieved a customer satisfaction Score of 74%, compared to the competition’s average of 64%.
The not-for-profit insurer had strong performance across several key areas, including the speed of settling claims, access to services, and the range of hospitals available to customers. It also tied for first place in categories such as clarity of process, ease of making a claim, and choice of available consultants.
WPA’s sales and marketing director Mark Southern (pictured) said: ‘We are committed to delivering an experience that treats our customers as we would wish to be treated ourselves. It’s what we do, and this recognition from Which? affirms that we’re doing it really well.’
The Which? review highlighted WPA’s clarity of terms and conditions, with customers praising the company for straightforward communication and transparency. ‘Customers in our survey were highly positive about various areas of their experience of claiming, from the speed of claims to the choice of consultants available,’ said Which?.
WPA’s continued strength in customer satisfaction is further supported by its performance on independent platforms like Trustpilot, where the company holds a score of 4.6 out of 5. Southern added: ‘It’s a testament to the professionalism, hard work, and empathy of each and every member of the team.’
