NICE accepts Alzheimer’s drugs

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has confirmed that it will lift restrictions on the use of three drugs – Donepezil (Aricept, Eisai/Pfizer), galantamine (Reminyl, Shire) and rivastigmine (Exelon, Novartis) – for patients with ‘mild and moderate’ Alzheimer’s.
