Bupa has pursued an aggressive growth strategy in the dental care market since completion of its £835m takeover of Oasis Dental Care in 2017. In the last six months it has acquired 23 practices, taking its portfolio to around 470 practices with over 2,000 dentists and more than 5,000 practice staff.
Bupa Dental Care has continued to expand with the acquisition of nine practices across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
The new sites include practices in London, Poole, Halifax, Leeds and the South Coast, as well as a dental and implant clinic in Chatham, Kent and the acquisition of Belfast Orthodontics, which operates two practices in Northern Ireland, offering referrals for both NHS and private patients.
Bupa Dental Care general manager Gabriela Pueyo said: ‘While we have ambitious growth plans, it’s really important that we’re bringing on practices that share our high standards. With their commitment to customers and clinical excellence, I’m delighted to welcome these latest teams to the Bupa Dental Care family, and look forward to supporting their continued success.‘
