Cuba to hold first medical tourism conference

Cuban authorities have confirmed that the 1st International Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair (FITSaludCuba), will take place in October in Havana.

The fair will be held as part of the 15th Salud Para Todos (Health for All) Fair.

It will be supported and managed by Cuba’s Ministry of Public Health, Comercializadora de Servicios Medicos S.A. (part of Medical Services) and the Chamber of Commerce.

The website of Medical Services says that the goal of FITSaludCuba is to exhibit the products and share the experiences and breakthroughs of medical and health tourism in Cuba and the world and to consolidate alliances in this sector.

The conference will aim to discuss commercialisation of medical tourism and development trends of wellness tourism.

The 2nd International Forum on Foreign Investment in the healthcare sector will also take be part of the exhibition and will promote opportunities in Cuba.
