Dubai: five star rating for wellness resort

The demand for wellness tourism continues to increase as more travellers become mindful of their health and wellbeing, and Dubai is aiming to further enhance its position as a global wellness destination. The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel has become the Emirate’s first five-star wellness resort, and the first certification under a new star rating.

The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery by Sofitel, on Palm Jumeirah, has 255 rooms and suites, as well as four dining options that serve healthy cuisine. It claims to have the world’s first Rayya Wellness Centre, offering a variety of all-inclusive retreat packages, plus a Rayya Fitness Centre, Rayya Spa and Rayya Kids Club. The wellness retreat packages include pre-arrival consultation with a coach and a pre-arrival detox nutrition assessment for a personalised menu during the stay.

The retreats also include treatments from Rayya Wellness; curated nutritious meals and detox juices; private sessions, including tailor-made wellbeing and fitness activities like yoga and meditation classes; night-care sleep rituals; and access to the hotel’s health amenities including the gym, sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, and oxygen therapy facilities.

The Retreat Palm Dubai has partnered with American Aesthetic Centre Dubai to open a branch within the property. The clinic offers patients advanced techniques for both surgical and non-surgical treatments including hair transplants and skin care. The hotel also teamed up with Meraki Wellbeing Centre and Emotional Wellness Clinic to offer more options to customers.
