Expo in Germany promotes Turkey healthcare

The recent Berlin Health Tourism Expo heavily featured hospitals and clinics from Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Held on January 16 – 17, the Expo aimed to create networking opportunities between Turkish hospitals and clinics, health tourism agencies, and German medical tourism agencies, tourism agencies, health institutions, insurance companies, doctors, health sector investors and general public visitors within medical tourism.

Near East University Hospital represented the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) at the Expo.  Other hospitals in the TRNC include Kyrenia Hospital, Near East University Dental Hospital, Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Dental Hospital and Near East University Hospital Yeniboğaziçi. Near East Hospitals offers a wide range of services to international patients and their companions via its international patient office.

By combining its tourism potential with health, the region wants to be an important destination in terms of health tourism.

Turkey had 90 hospitals at the Expo offering aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, dental health and aesthetics, hair transplantation, weight loss and diet, bariatric surgery, gastroenterology and oncology clinics, eye surgery, IVF centres, elderly care centres and life centres, disabled and geriatric centres, physical therapy and rehabilitation centres, transplantation centres, thermal health and cure centres, spa and health centres.
