The development of Amaala aims to become a luxury destination on the north-western coast of Saudi Arabia. It includes a fully holistic wellness retreat, diagnostic medical facilities, and authentic treatment.
Architectural firm Denniston is the new master planner for The Island, one of Amaala’s key components.
The initial funding for the project is provided by PIF, who will spearhead the development of Amaala into a bespoke hospitality experience in partnership with private enterprise, and investment packages will be available for the private sector.
Amaala is focused on several categories: wellness, healthy living and sports; art and culture; and sea, sun and lifestyle with the resort being planned over three sites within the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Natural Reserve. The development will include 2,500 hotel rooms as well as 700 luxury villas with plans for completion by 2028.
The development of Amaala includes Triple Bay. Triple Bay will offer a fully holistic wellness retreat, diagnostic medical facilities and authentic treatments designed to feature the local environment. Triple Bay will also be home to a fully integrated sports and entertainment community.
